A Breath of Fresh Air

It’s probably time for a new filter in your HVAC – it’s amazing how much clearer the air feels when mine gets changed :-).

The Message version has a fun and accurate translation of the heart of this verse . . .

Philippians 2:15 Go out into the world uncorrupted, a breath of fresh air in this squalid and polluted society. Provide people with a glimpse of good living and of the living God. Carry the light-giving Message into the night 16 so I’ll have good cause to be proud of you on the day that Christ returns.

Truths . . .

  1. We are pure – The blood of Jesus purifies us completely, our past is dead
  2. We are purifiers – anything that passes through and around us can’t help but be filtered through the goodness of Jesus inside us
  3. We show people what the living God looks like – He’s so joyful, powerful and in love
  4. Our message carries light
  5. I’m proud of you 🙂 wholeheartedly

As Christians we are a breath of fresh air. In fact, we are air fresheners! When we walk into a room of people who have stinky attitudes, the life and light of the Spirit of Christ in us can’t help but come out and begin to freshen and enliven the atmosphere with goodness, wholesomeness, humility, patience and peace.
